About Us

NYSARC, Inc. is America's largest not-for-profit organization supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities since 1949. NYSARC Trust Services expands the mission of NYSARC, Inc. by offering trust services to individuals with all types of disabilities.

A trust is a legal agreement whereby you give your money to another person -- or entity, such as a bank -- called a trustee, who agrees to manage it for the benefit of a person called the beneficiary. A supplemental needs trust is a special type of trust that assists people with disabilities.

NYSARC offers a full range of trust services, administration of pooled trusts, as well as first- and third-party individual trusts, all of which are designed to meet the needs of people with any type of disability. All qualify as supplemental needs trusts.

A supplemental needs trust is a way to set aside funds to enhance the quality of life of an individual with special needs without risking that person's benefits under various government programs.
