NYSARC Trust Services offers a variety of supplemental needs trust (SNT) programs designed to provide all people with disabilities the opportunity to live a rich, full life.
With a commitment to responsible trust administration, our services have enhanced the lives of more than 17,000 people with disabilities by protecting their eligibility for public benefits like Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid.
Our trusts give people with disabilities and chronic conditions the opportunity to remain in the communities they love with greater comfort and independence while providing peace of mind to their family and loved ones.
Pooled supplemental needs trusts offer people an affordable alternative to individual trusts or traditional bank trusts, which require large initial deposits and expensive administrative and legal fees.
Most of our trust programs are pooled supplemental needs trusts, but NYSARC Trust Services can also provide a trustee and administration of first or third party individual SNTs on a case by case basis.
A NYSARC supplemental needs trust can either be funded by a person with a disability (also referred to as the beneficiary) as a first party SNT or by someone other than the beneficiary as a third party SNT such as a parent, sibling, or grandparent.
